Minerve is a picturesque, medieval village and one of the most beautiful places in France. It is situated on a rocky island, which is framed by the canyons of the rivers Cesse and Brian. This magical place is charming not only because of its eventful history of the Cathars time, but also by the stunning natural spectacle of the "Pont Naturel", the romantic scenery and good wine.
It is the ideal place for hikers, wine lovers and for those who love adventure and history. In the summertime the rivers are dried up and the caves can be visited. Minerve is accessible by a bridge, to protect the village, only residents or licensees can access the village by car. You will find several restaurants, a café and several craft shops. You can obtain information from the Tourist Office on the beautiful trails, both below and above ground. For your shopping you can go to Olonzac, a village with several bakeries, butchers, terraces and on Tuesday a crowded market.
