Ischis is located in the Parc Régional du Haut Languedoc . The park is a protected area , uncrowded and not touristic. You can take any route ( also by car) and marvel at the varied landscape and the numerous sources you can see along the side of the road . A day at the beach is also possible. By car you are about a 60 minutes drive away from the beach, the journey alone is worth the effort. South of St.Pons the landscape and the climate are Mediterranean with vineyards, pine tree, plane trees, oleander and lavender . North of St.Pons the chestnut forests, meadows with cows and sheep begin.
