A pleasant summer rental overlooking the valley on a private hill on the edge of the picturesque village of Pierrerue, and a few miles from the winegrowing village Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc. If you're looking to get away from it all in this lovely countryside and mild climate, then this villa meets your needs. Its unique location, on a vast piece of land, offers all the privacy you could want.
You are surrounded by vineyards and only a stone's throw away from the Languedoc natural park and the Mediterranean. The hills are wooded and overgrown with pines and Mediterranean plants such as thyme, lavender and rosemary. The owner strives to keep the terrain as natural as possible, so no laid-out flower plots! From the terrace you can enjoy a sweeping view over the countryside. The terrace is partly covered and has garden furniture. When you go down this terrace, you'll find the swimming pool and its terrace in the shade of the pine trees. Sun loungers at your disposal.
The entrance is a small hall with a large storage room. A flight of stairs down to the living room with sofas and easy chairs grouped around the fireplace. There is also a small round iron stove; wonderful during the winter. The large French sliding door open onto the terrace. Open-plan kitchen equipped to receive 6. Here you'll also find the washing machine. Door leading to the terrace.
The sleeping area has 3 bedrooms with wardrobes. One bathroom with bath tub, washbasin and separate toilet.
Ample parking space behind the villa, and below, under the covered car port.
Small village, situated on a hill, so it has lovely views all over the village onto the St Chinian valley. Lots of walking – and biking possibilties and within short distance you’ll find a small zoo, a canoe centre and teh beach within about half an hour’s drive. You could buy your wine in the village from the local producers. In Saint Chinian (4km), there's a local market every Thursday and Sunday morning and you'll find all necessary shops here (baker's, a butcher's shop, supermarkets, cashpoint, post office, wineries). And of course several restaurants and bars.
